![]() log | grep "Plex New Transcoder" 10:18:04 DEBUG - Job running: /usr Ideally I would transcode live tv in memory, but it seems as though when I record a show > 1. I just run the server in parallel to the Plex server. 1kHz and 16 bits should be universally compatible with basically everything that can play audio. I noticed that streaming FLAC to my iPhone 12 Pro drains the battery noticeably faster than streaming Opus 160. I transcoded the track myself to FLAC, remuxed it in, and it direct played without any audible compression. I found this post about kodi with the PlexForKodi plugin being able to play FLAC audio on a piece of media, but not native plex. It is allowing Direct Stream on the video s but the audio is being transcoded to OPUS and it has been happening for most of the Atmos audio streams. It doesn't support playing containerized FLAC files natively. ![]()
